Hi and welcome the Jubilee Activity Holydays Webpage.

Here we provide some basic information and a step by step guide to how to participate.

For over 25 years we have been successfully providing children with the unique experience of a week packed with activities in the magic of the Troodos Mountains. Through this experience and with the children's safety and well-being always as our number one priority we have developed a program that provides participants with a week of fun and adventure in an environment that encourages team work and enhances social skills.

THE WEEK DATES

WEEKS 1, 2 and 3 are for primary school children

WEEKS 4 and 5 are for secondary school children

WEEK 1  Mon 30th June - Saturday 4th July 2008 (3^_rd - 6^_th primary)
WEEK 2  Mon 7th July - Saturday 12th July 2008 (3^_rd - 6^_th primary)
WEEK 3  Mon 14th July - Saturday 19th July 2008 (3^_rd - 6^_th primary)
WEEK 4  Mon 21st July - Saturday 26th July 2008(1^_st - 3^_rd secondary)
WEEK 5  Mon 28th July - Saturday 2nd August 2008 (1^_st - 3^_rd secondary)

Only 3rd year students who participated in the previous year are eligible for the 4th and 5th week.

Activities

Jubilee Activity Holidays offer your child a week of creative fun in a beautiful natural environment.
Its amazing how much they can pack into a week! Here is just some of they will be doing.

Clothes and Equipment

This list is intended as guide:

• Medicine (MUST be handed in and will be administered by staff)
• Two pairs of pyjamas/nighties
• Sufficient underwear
• Six pairs of socks (some thick for walking)
• T-shirt/short sleeve shirts
• Sweat shirt
• Tracksuit
• Pullover
• Two pairs shorts
• One pair jeans
• TWO pairs sports shoes
• HAT
• Swimsuit & towel
• A "smarter" change of clothes for evening activities
• Spongebag-toothbrush-toothpaste-sponge-shampoo-comb etc
• WATER BOTTLE
• LIP SALVE/sun creme
• A tennis racket (optional)
• A small knapsack for hikes
• Games
• Books
• Pencil/rubber

Fees and Booking Procedure

Fee €350- (all taxes included)

THe fee covers the full activity programme, full board accomodation at the Jubilee Hotel, Troodos, transport from Lefkosia or Lemesos to Troodos and back and local travel. There are no extras. Fees for children who do not stay for the full term cannot be modified or refunded.

Pocket Money

€30 per week  in a clearly marked envelope handed to the teacher for daily distribution. THere is no need to spend money except on the odd soft drink or ice cream and on the occasional visit to Troodos village.

Booking Procedure

STEP 1

Check booking date for  childrens grade from the list below

 e.g 5th Grade Primary call from 27th May onwards

LINES OPEN AT 8.30am and close at 4.00pm

26th MAY ONWARDS
3rd + 4th PRIMARY (WEEKS 1, 2 and 3)

27th  MAY ONWARDS
5th + 6th PRIMARY (WEEKS 1, 2, and 3)

28th MAY ONWARDS
1st + 2nd Secondary (WEEKS 4 and 5)

30th MAY ONWARDS
3rd Secondary (WEEKS 4 and 5) OJ's

STEP 2

Call 77778822 and provioionally book in week in which you are interested:

with the reference number clearly written in the space provided. If you lose your reference number please call and a phone operator will provide it for you.

NOTE : APPLICATION FORMS AND PAYMENT WILL NOT BE ACEPTED WITHOUT A REFERENCE NUMBER.

Provisional (telephone) bookings will not be held for more than one week. Bookings must be made by parents or guardians of applicants.

There is a cancellation fee of €100  if the vacancy is not filled.

Transport

From Lefkosia

Pick up point: Near Makrios Stadium (see map)
Departure time Monday at 7:30am
Arrival time Saturday at 4:00pm

From Lemesos

Pick up point: Opposite KASERA supermarket on B8 road to Platres (off Junction 28).
Departure time Monday at 7:30am
Arrival time Saturday at 4:00pm

Parents please be punctual both for the departure of your children on Mondays and picking them up on Saturdays.

Children travelling independently should be at the hotel by 8:30am on Mondays. They should be collected at 3:pm on Saturdays. Team presentations are at 2:00pm.

THe Jubilee Hotel Activity Holidays office at Tryphon Bldg, 5th floor, Eleftheria Sq., 1504 Nicosia, will be open from Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm.

Phone Calls

During the holidays, children can be reached at 25420187/163/192/173/178/128, ONLY between 6:00 and 7:00pm for weeks 1 to 3 and ONLY between 6:30 and 7:30pm for weeks 4 and 5. No calls on Thursday (children are participating in outdoor activities). Please do not phone unless it is absolutely necessary as your children will be given permission to phone home. The use of mobile phones is actively discouraged. Remember that the holiday is inteded to help develop the children's abilit to be independent.
